Gardening, anyone?

Calling all gardeners! Our rooftop garden is in need of 3 volunteers with green thumbs. This garden not only brings beauty to our community, it also puts food on the table. During the last growing season, our rooftop garden supplied fresh produce for our kitchen and contributed to the three daily meals we serve.

Gardening volunteers help plot, plant, maintain, harvest, and process the produce we grow in our rooftop garden and the produce we receive from other community gardens throughout the season. Internship opportunities

Need a summer internship? The Gathering Place hosts higher education students throughout the year, but has a special need for interns during the summer months. Interns serve in our Family Area, at our Resource and Welcome Desks, and on special projects within their area of interest. Internships are individualized, unpaid, and based on agency needs and the students’ educational goals. Availability late May through August is preferred. Support Betsy's Cupboard

Summer is also a time when Betsy’s Cupboard struggles to meet the needs of the women and families we serve. Children are out of school and no longer receiving free or reduced lunches there, so mothers are looking for resources to fill the gap. Contact Lydia at 303-996-9046 or lydiafaye@tgpdenver.org if you’d like to organize a food drive at your business, with neighbors, in your faith community, etc. She will help with drive signage, literature, bins, and other needed support!
