When you support The Gathering Place, you ensure that every woman has a place to go, even when her world is falling apart. The Gathering Place is 95% privately funded, meaning we rely on the involvement and commitment of concerned community members to keep our doors open.
As the only daytime drop-in center for women and children in Denver, The Gathering Place could be the one place where a woman finds the resources that help her rebuild her life. Every day we provide resources and services to approximately 275 women and children. Your gift will directly and immediately make a difference for these individuals.

IN-KIND DONATIONS
The Gathering Place is always accepting the items on our Urgent Needs List. These items can be dropped off at 1535 High Street during our client service hours. We also have an ongoing relationship with Heritage Cleaners and you can donate your used clothing to us at any of their Denver locations.
Due to space constraints, however, we are unable to accept certain items such as stuffed animals, used toys, furniture, household items, cell phones, and computer equipment. View a list of agencies that can accept these items. To best serve our donors and the women and children of The Gathering Place, we have partnered with other local non-profits who are able to accept your donations and distribute them directly to people who need them. Each of these agencies can provide you with a tax receipt.

PLANNED GIVING
Planned gifts are an excellent way to make a lasting impact on a nonprofit organization. The right planned giving option can also allow you to reduce your estate and income taxes and maximize the financial and tax benefits of your gift. There are numerous ways you can make a planned gift: in your will, from your IRA account, by establishing an endowment, or by leveraging a gift through life insurance. Your gift may be unrestricted or designated and you may make your gift in your own name, or you may memorialize a loved one with your contribution. For more information about planned giving, please ask your estate planner or attorney to contact Lisa Zavoda at lisa@tgpdenver.org or 303-996-9061.
USED VEHICLES
If you have a car, truck, van, RV, motorcycle, or boat that you would like to get rid of, consider donating it to The Gathering Place through Vehicles for Charity, a nonprofit organization that will sell your vehicle and return the proceeds to us. VFC will handle all aspects of the donation for you, including pick up and transportation of the vehicle.
